QUARRY POLLUTION

Quarry pollution affecting the Palestinian village of Wadi Fuqeen started in the winter of 2009 as a result of construction in the adjacent illegal Jewish settlement of Beitar Illit . The pollution takes the form of slurry, which settles on village farmlands, forming a layer of concrete and preventing air and water from penetrating the soil. >>
